I played one Tournament today, my favorite mtt on boss media [40€ DS, a.k.a Old Faithful]

obviously I get another bloody 2nd place.. Regular readers will know that i am on a hot streak.. of 2nd place finishes lol. I don’t cash anymore you see.. I either come 2nd or bust OOTM. €40+4 -> €585 which is not to be grumbled at obviously.

So 2nite I played some 6 max with k molby (I think.. danish guy), i called his 3bet with ajs, flop ajo, he has AA obv.. -€250. that will teach me to call him light. thought he was it it. Oops! Left cash to focus on mtts then..

Simultaneously, I played the €50r on boss (25k gteed), €250 in – grinded a sick stack, then went carddead, then i get busted pretty near the bubble [180 runners, only 10 paid.. WTF Boss Media???] by a total fking spastic: http://www.pokerhand.org/?3743123 <- obviously matey doesn't grasp the simple concepts of fold-equity or showdown value. sigh.

– won a package to the liverpool winter festival
satellite win

– and just chopped the 40 euro Boss deepstack with EATLARD, so we got 700Euro each…

grinded some donkaments on ftp/stars and no big wins. 11th in the 100r 1/r 1/a on ftp sucked. that’s about it.

started playing Heads up cash out of boredom this week..
did quite well the first few sessions.. will be interesting to see how much i can make there, and how high i can go

Rather than telling you how I came 2nd in yet another donkament (thats like 5 2nds recently, 0 1sts).. I’ll tell u about life.

Nov and Dec 2008 were my only big downswingy losing months, so I was getting fed up with poker (after grinding mtts for 2 years online for a living), so I took a job interview for a poker company which required my skillz (that’s marketing skills and poker knowledge/savvy)…

So I took the sick job in a poker company and now I’m a marketing /promotions dude working with some very talented great people. So I moved to Sunny southend..spent some time staying in a hotel and visiting friends in london and then got a pad and started work. [bad beat: as soon as I accept the job offer, I win ~£13k online in a week obv… ]
so anyway, I’m now a “poker marketing executive” by day apparently.. thank god for the nights! SHIP IT!
